Renata is a freelance theatre practitioner and director.

She is a published playwright, a professional theatre director and actor and is former Director of Drama at Kingston Grammar School and St Dunstan’s College, London.

For young audiences Renata has written a number of plays and adaptations including The Magic Story Book, which won the TMA Regional Theatre Award for Best Production for Children and Young People award when it played at The Oxford Playhouse in 1992 and The Witch and the Magic Mountain that was nominated for the same award in 1994.

Recent professional productions include 3 Bears and Jingle’s Magic Sleigh which she wrote and directed for The Story Museum in Oxford for Christmas seasons 2016/17 and 2017/18.

Renata wrote Good Clown Bad Clown which played the Christmas season at The Bristol Old Vic Studio in 2012 and Before the Tempest which played at The Old Fire Station, Oxford for the Hidden Spire project, 2015 (written for professional actors and Crisis Members to perform together)

Renata works as a professional theatre director.

Recently she co-directed As You Like It with John Retallack for Corpus Christi College, Oxford in Spring 2017.

She directed Dangling, a new play by Abi Hood at The Burton Taylor Studio and Courtyard Theatre, London in Spring 2016,  and directed Virgins by John Retallack for The English Speaking Theatre of Vienna in Autumn 2015.

Renata leads playwriting projects in Oxford schools for primary pupils and at Oxford Playhouse for young adults.
