We are now talking to Primary Schools about getting involved in 2017/18.
From September 2016 to March 2017 six Oxford Primary Schools were involved in the Primary Playmaker project. Each child wrote a play and eleven were chosen to be performed by professional actors at the Oxford Playhouse. Nazarene Williams and Ollie Gomm perform below in The Great Fire of Oxford.
Primary Playmaker encourages children to create their own short plays through a course of one and a half hour workshops in which children experience a variety of activities including improvisation and writing exercises.
At the end of the writing process, pupils rehearse their plays and present them to each other or to an invited audience at school.
